RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING A COMMITMENT BY THE VILLAGE OF ORLAND PARK FOR THE 2025 "INVEST IN COOK" PROGRAM (94TH AVENUE AND 159TH STREET INTERSECTION SAFETY IMPROVEMENT)

WHEREAS, the Village President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Park (the "Village") desire to implement a project to improve the safety of the 94th Avenue and 159th Street intersection.
WHEREAS, the Invest in Cook ("IIC") Program, a grant program managed by the Cook County Department of Transportation and Highways ("CCDOTH"), provides funds to local agencies to advance transportation improvements throughout the region.
WHEREAS, the Village is currently funding Phase I Engineering and desires to apply for Phase II Engineering funds through the IIC Program.
WHEREAS, the Village will be required to match awarded IIC funds on a one-to-one basis.
WHEREAS, the Village is committed to provide a total local match of up to $150,000 for Phase II engineering.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Park, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois, as follows:
SECTION 1
The above recitals are incorporated by reference into this Section 1 and made a part hereof as though fully set forth herein.
SECTION 2
The Village President and Board of Trustees of the Village approve this Resolution Authorizing and Approving a Commitment by the Village to provide matching funds for Phase II Engineering up to a total local match of $150,000.
SECTION 3
This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its adoption as provided by law.
