PROJECT DESCRIPTION & CONTEXT
The applicant proposes to install a 12-foot by 20-foot hardtop gazebo within the playground area behind the building at 9970 151st Street. The proposed gazebo is 10 feet tall and features a bronze aluminum frame with a galvanized steel double roof, providing durability and resistance to both snow loads (up to 2,500 lbs) and winds up to 40 mph. It includes a weather-resistant design suitable for year-round outdoor use. The gazebo will be a permanent fixture, securely anchored to the ground.
Per Section 6-302.C.2 of the Land Development Code, gazebos are not permitted within the front setback (between the building and the front property line), must be located a minimum of five feet from any property line, and shall not exceed 15 feet in height or the height of the principal structure-whichever is less. The proposed location and height appear to comply with these requirements.
