History
A resident contacted PTAC pertaining to safety concerns due to the observation of vehicles speeding down Regent Drive for the past 20 years. Regent Drive is being used as a cut-through street that connects Orland Square Mall to other intersections such as 94th Avenue, 151st Street and 159th Street causing an increase in traffic, which will only continue to increase with the development of Amazon. With the number of people that walk, utilize the Village Square Park down the street, and ride bikes, the submitter has witnessed many people almost being hit by speeding cars.
The resident is requesting a Speed Display Radar device be installed at the Stop sign on Regent Drive at Windsor Lane or at a minimum, a speed meter facing south on Regent Drive towards Wheeler Drive.
