Snow Removal Services - RFP #26-045

History
Traditionally, the Public Works Streets Division has been responsible for snow removal throughout the Village, including cul-de-sacs, elbows, and dead-end streets. To provide a higher level of service to residents during snow events, the Village has supplemented Public Works operations with contractor support for the past twelve to fifteen (12 to 15) years. This partnership allows Public Works crews to focus on maintaining primary and secondary roadways during heavier snowfall events while contractors are responsible for clearing cul-de-sacs, elbows, and dead-end streets. Contractors have personnel on call and will respond when directed by Public Works following snowfall accumulations of approximately two inches (2”) or greater. Contractor services will continue as needed until the snow event has concluded and all assigned areas have been cleared.
