A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF ILLINOIS AND THE VILLAGE OF ORLAND PARK APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR 82ND AVENUE MULTI-USE PATH PROJECT

WHEREAS, the Village of Orland Park desires to implement a project to construct a multi-use path on the east side of 82nd Avenue from Arrowhead Lane to 145th Place, a project known to the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) under Section Number 22-00089-00-BT and State Job Number D-91-166-24; and
WHEREAS, the Phase II Design Engineering cost of said improvement is two hundred fifty-nine thousand five hundred and sixteen dollars ($259,516.00); and
WHEREAS, the Village of Orland Park received one hundred sixty-seven thousand and forty dollars ($167,040.00) in Surface Transportation Program (STP) federal funding, with the Village responsible for the remaining ninety-two thousand four hundred and seventy-six dollars ($92,476.00) and any costs exceeding the federal participation; and
WHEREAS, the use of federal funds requires a joint funding agreement (hereinafter “AGREEMENT”) with the Illinois Department of Transportation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Village of Orland Park hereby appropriates ninety-two thousand four hundred and seventy-six dollars ($92,476.00) for the local balance of the Phase II Design Engineering costs for the completion of the Phase II Design Engineering of the aforementioned project known under Section Number 22-00089-00-BT and furthermore, the Village agrees to pass supplemental resolutions if necessary to appropriate additional funds for completion of the project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute the above-mentioned AGREEMENT and any other such documents related to advancement and completion of said project.
