(Larkspur Lane from Wheeler Drive to Cashew Drive)
History
A resident, who resides on Larkspur Lane, contacted PTAC pertaining to safety concerns on Larkspur Lane from Wheeler Drive to Cashew Drive due to speeding motorists. The resident has two children and indicated when the family is out front on bikes and scooters there are so many speeders. The parents have experienced multiple close calls when pulling out of their driveway due to cars trying to speed around them.
It was also mentioned that since Larkspur Lane is the only though street from Wheeler Drive to 157th Street so many cars either try to cut through off of Harlem Avenue or the road in general to get to 159th Street.
The resident is requesting speed bumps or be informed what process to take in order to petition for them to be installed on Larkspur Lane from Wheeler Drive to Cashew Drive. They understand that police cannot be everywhere; and therefore, hoping speed bumps will reduce the speeding.
