Halloran & Yauch, Inc. Change Order #1 and Contract Amendment A
History
On April 6, 2026 the Board approved entering into a vendor contract with Halloran and Yauch, Inc. to perform irrigation system seasonal start-up, winterization, routine inspections, adjustments, maintenance and repairs as needed to maintain optimal system performance along LaGrange Rd. in 2026, 2027 and 2028 for a not to exceed contract price of $58,547.50. This includes a contingency of $5,322.50.
At the Village's discretion, the contract includes optional years of 2029 and 2030 for a total not to exceed $43,081.00. This includes a $3,916.00 contingency for all three years.
While performing maintenance, Halloran & Yauch personnel discovered stuck valves, damaged spray heads and nozzles, a defunct mother board, transformer and module as detailed in the attached invoice necessitating repairs totaling $5,970.66 during the initial start-up inspection and $7,922.69 during the August maintenance work as detailed in the attached invoices.
Staff seek approval to execute Change Order #1 and Contract Amendment A (attached) as repairs exceeded the approved contingency.
Financial Impact
Funds are available in 2009100 444500 for the change order.

I move to approve and authorize the execution of change order #1 and Contract Amendment A to the vendor contract dated April 6, 2026, between the Village of Orland Park and Halloran & Yauch, Inc for irrigation repairs on Lagrange Road and to use the contingency funds in the amount of $5,322.50; to execute change order #1 and Amendment A in the amount of $8,570.85 for irrigation repairs on LaGrange Road, for a new total not to exceed amount of $67,118.35;
AND
Authorize the Village Manager to execute all related contracts, subject to Village Attorney review;
AND
Authorize the Village Manager to approve change orders not to exceed the contingency.
