As part of the prior Noodles & Company buildout, red awnings were installed on the east and south building elevations. The petitioner is proposing to remove the existing awnings.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION & DETAILED PLANNING DISCUSSION
The petitioner requests removal of four (4) existing fabric awnings from the front facade without replacement. The subject property is located within the Village Center District, and there are no known Planned Development conditions or prior approval stipulations requiring the awnings to remain. Section 6-308 of the Village of Orland Park Land Development Code regulates the installation and design of awnings; however, it does not require their presence. Therefore, removal of the awnings is not prohibited by the Code requirements stated in Section 6-308. Provided that all mounting hardware is removed and the facade is properly repaired and finished to match existing materials, staff finds the proposed removal compliant with the Land Development Code and appropriate for administrative approval.
Recommended Action/Motion
The Appearance Review for Al Manakeesh Restaurant - 14662 LaGrange Road - Appearance Review for removal of awnings, case number 2026-0150, as shown in the plan titled: “Al Manakeesh Restaurant - 14662 LaGrange Road - Appearance Review for removal of awnings”, submitted on February 3, 2026, has been administratively approved on February 16, 2026, subject to the following condition:
1.) Upon removal of the awnings, all mounting hardware is also removed, and the facade is properly repaired and finished to match existing materials.
