Project description & Context
The petitioner intends to modify the front entry of the school and install a security system.

Overall, the project conforms to the Village 's Comprehensive Plan and Land Development Codes and Policies for this area.
North
Not applicable. The building shares a wall with existing space.

Not applicable. The building shares a wall with existing space.
West
The petitioner intends to completely remove the existing entry doors and framing to install new light brown exterior horizontal panel walls and hollowmetal doors and framing system with 1" insulated glazing in doors and transoms. The new doors are 3 feet wide and 7 feet in height. In addition, a new card reader will be installed near the new doors.
The petitioner will install five new bollards that will be spaced 60" apart from each other. The total height of the bollard including the concrete pier is 4 feet. In addition, the petitioner plans to provide new 5" thick concrete walk to accommodate bollard installation. The control joints will be aligned with what is existing. Per section 6-308.F.8, colors schemes should consider and respect the character and quality of structures in the area. Excessively bright or brilliant colors should be used only for accent.
As needed the petitioner will also modify the exterior soffit to match the pre-existing conditions in structure. The exterior light fixtures in the exterior soffit will remain.

The petitioner has not proposed any changes to the parking lot.

The petitioner has not proposed any changes to on site landscaping.

No signage has been proposed on the site.
Recommended Action/Motion
The Appearance Review for St. Michael Parish, case number 2024-0100, received February 05th, 2024 was administratively approved on February 19th, 2024 subject to the following conditions:
1. A building permit must be obtained from the Village's Building Department prior to initiating work;
2. Meet all building and Land Development Code requirements at the site.
