Title/Name/Summary:
SBA Communications & Orland Park Fire District Cell Tower. - 10730 163rd Place - Decommission Cell Tower
History:
In 1998, the cell tower was upgraded from an existing 100’ tall tower to a new 140’ tall tower. Also, at that time, a 20’ by 11’ utility building was located at the base to provide power and connections to the antenna.
In 2009, three “Clearwire” microwave dish antennae were placed on the existing monopole and a “Clearwire” GPS device was added to the utility building.
Petitioner is now requesting an appearance review for the purpose of decommissioning the tower and removing the surrounding ancillary items (i.e.: shelter, chain link fence, concrete pad, and utility pedestal).
