Special Event Permit for University of Chicago's Dental Bus Event - Fee Waiver
History
The University of Chicago would like to have a dental bus on their campus located at 14290 S. LaGrange Road to provide free dental care to the residents of Orland Park. They would like to have the event once a month and possibly change the frequency based on the need. The first three dates will be September 11, October 16, and November 12, 2026, and times will be during regular business hours. The bus will be parked in the garage hangover area (site map provided). The University of Chicago is a not-for-profit health system and has asked that the Village of Orland Park waive their permit fees for the days the bus is on site (see attached email).
Financial Impact
Waiving fees will total an estimated $100 per month, $200 if they decide to have visits twice per month.
Recommended Action/Motion
I move to approve a special event permit for the University of Chicago's Dental Bus Event as fully presented.

I move to approve permitting the University of Chicago to have a dental bus providing free dental care at 14290 S. LaGrange Road, contingent upon meeting all of the Village's permitting requirements and inspections;
AND
Approve the waiver of permit fees.
