Website Redevelopment - Expenditure Approval
History
The website redevelopment project is nearing completion with the anticipated go-live date of March 14, 2008 for the new website. During the course of the project, additional expenses have been incurred to keep the project moving forward and on track.
The CivicPlus proposal initially included 150 pages of content for the new website. This was based on the 65 pages of content on our current website. When all content was submitted by village departments for the new website, there were approximately 450 pages of content. To date, CivicPlus has completed 350 pages of content at an extra cost of $4,600. The remaining pages will be completed by staff.
The initial proposal also included four days of on-site training at a cost of $10,000. Due to the number of employees that required training, an additional two-day training session was added at an extra cost of $5,000. A total of 30 employees received training and the feedback was very enthusiastic and positive.
A minor program modification was needed to upload the police department’s crime statistics database at an extra cost of $250.
On February 25, 2008 this item was reviewed and approved by the Finance Committee and referred to the Board for approval.
