History
A resident contacted PTAC pertaining to safety concerns due to parents parking on E. Coventry Court at 152nd Street on school days from 1:00 - 1:15 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. instead of the designated school drop off/pickup line. Kids notice their parents/grandparents for pickup and run across the lawns and into the street between cars. Cars are turning around and not seeing these kids.
The Police Department has tried to help, but the parents won't listen. The resident has videos, which according to the resident, the Police have utilized their surveillance cameras. This issue began when the Principal was replaced at Liberty Elementary School.
The resident is requesting a ‘Resident Parking Only On School Days 7:30 - 8:00 a.m. l 1:30 - 3:00 p.m.’ sign on the east side of Coventry Court at 152nd Street, similar to the one on Royal Georgian Road shown below.
