A RESOLUTION APPROVING WATER SUPPLY SERVICES AND RIGHT-OF-WAY AGREEMENT AND ACCEPTING 143RD RIGHT-OF-WAY PLATS OF DEDICATION
Body
WHEREAS, the South Cook County Mosquito Abatement District (the “District”), an Illinois body corporate and politic, currently relies on well water to service its unincorporated Cook County facility at 10901 W. 143rd Street and such well water service has proven to be inadequate and unreliable; and
WHEREAS, the District has requested the Village to provide water to the District’s facility, as well as two (2) privately owned parcels adjacent to the Village’s water main and the District’s 143rd Street property; and
WHEREAS, the District has agreed and will bear the entire cost of design, construction, and installation of three (3) new water services to connect its facility and the two (2) adjacent privately owned parcels to the Village water supply system; and
WHEREAS, the District as well as the owners of the two (2) adjacent privately owned parcels have each agreed to dedicate the north sixty feet (60’) of their respective parcels to the Village for 143rd Street right-of-way purposes. This will also support future utility and infrastructure extensions and/or expansion.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Park, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois as follows:
SECTION 1
The Water Supply Service and Right-of-Way Dedication Agreement attached hereto as EXHIBIT 1, is approved and the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement on behalf of the Village.
SECTION 2
The Plats of Dedication, true and correct copies of which are attached hereto as EXHIBITS 2, 3 and 4, are hereby accepted and approved, said Plats to be recorded with the Recording Division of the Cook County Clerk’s Office at the expense of the District.
