History
The Cook County Sheriffs Department is implementing a Cook County Communications Interoperability Plan for Cook County.
The plan will provide our police department with two interoperable portable radios and one base station radio to maintain voice communication with neighboring jurisdictions during an emergency situation. There is no cost for the radios or the installation of them however, there is an annual radio network cost of $240.00 per radio or $720.00 per year which we will pay from federal asset forfeiture funds.
