2027 Southwest Job Fair Revised Memorandum of Understanding
History
The Village of Orland Park, in partnership with the Village of Tinley Park and Orland Township have jointly hosted and shared expense costs for the Southwest Job Fair since 2024.
The inauguration Job Fair in 2024 was hosted at the Village's Orland Park Civic Center. The first event quickly outgrew the Civic Center. In 2025, the Job Fair moved to the Tinley Park Convention Center with 100 employers and an estimated attendance of 1,700. The 2026 Job Fair hosted 104 employers with an estimated attendance of 1,800.
The 2027 Southwest Job Fair will be jointly hosted by the Village of Orland Park, the Village of Tinley Park, and Orland Township on January 13, 2027, at the Tinley Park Convention Center. A variety of industries will be onsite recruiting for opportunities.
Expenses for the Job Fair include recruiter refreshments and lunch, job seeker giveaways, rental of the Convention Center, pipe and drape, electrical service to vendors and other supplies necessary to support the event. Total expense in 2026 were $16,104.68 split evenly between the Village of Orland Park, the Village of Tinley Park and Orland Township.
Total estimated expenses for the 2027 Job Fair are expected to be approximately $17,000. Expenses will be split evenly between the Village of Orland Park, the Village of Tinley Park, and Orland Township.

Financial Impact
Funds are planned in 1009220 in 2026 and 2027 for the 2027 Job Fair.
