History
RFP #26-060, Green Space Drainage at Village Hall, Design Engineering was issued on August 14, 2026. The RFP sought proposals from qualified and experienced engineering firms to design a new or enhanced drainage solution for the green space at Orland Park Village Hall, where certain areas experience water ponding and poor drainage. The selected consultant will perform a preliminary site evaluation of existing conditions and then prepare engineering design including a new site layout, including grading and drainage design, to improve drainage in these areas.
The scope of work includes site evaluation, engineering design for new drainage system or solution, grading and drainage, stormwater management, geotechnical study, surveying, utility coordination, preparation of construction documents and cost estimates, bidding assistance, outside governmental permitting, and other professional services as necessary.
On September 4, 2026, a total of ten (10) engineering consultants submitted responses to the RFP:

The Selection Committee reviewed and ranked the RFP responses based on the following selection criteria defined in the RFP.
- Proposal Cost (35%)
- Firm’s experience and capacity to perform the work (20%)
- Staff qualifications, especially key personnel, proposed to perform the work (20%)
- Project approach and understanding of scope (15%)
- Selection Team Discretion (10%)
