History

On December 7, 1981, the Village entered into an agreement with Norfolk & Western Railway Company for the lease of land located at Oak Street and 143^rd Street in Orland Park. After further review, staff is requesting to cancel the existing contract because the lease of land is no longer needed.

Financial Impact

There is an annual savings of $6,708.00 to the Village as a result of the contract cancellation. A prorated invoice will be provided for 2024.

Recommended Action/Motion

I move to cancel the contract with Norfolk & Western Railway Company for the lease of land located between Oak Street and 143^rd Street;

AND

Authorize the Village Manager to execute all related documents, subject to Village Attorney review.
