Title
Traffic/Speed Study
(Spring Creek Lane)
History
A resident contacted PTAC pertaining to safety concerns due to ongoing speeding through the Spring Creek Estates subdivision.
Vehicles appear to be traveling at excessive speeds through the subdivision, creating a safety concern for residents, pedestrians, and children in the neighborhood.
There are too many people throughout the day speeding, and way too many little kids including my own outside playing when the speeding occurs. The resident has yelled “slow down” countless times a day and people still fly through the subdivision. There is a neighborhood park nearby.
The resident is requesting increased police speed enforcement, particularly during 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and during the day on weekends when speeding is most frequent, a traffic/speed study on Spring Creek Lane to evaluate whether additional traffic-calming measures may be appropriate, such as a radar speed feedback sign, additional signage, speed bumps, or other measures.
