2026 Neighborhood Road Improvement Program - Change Order #3 and Contract Addendum C
History
The 2026 Neighborhood Road Improvement Program (NRIP) includes the maintenance and reconstruction of various roadways and streets throughout the Village. Based upon the results of RFP #24-022, Lindahl Brothers, Inc. of Bensenville, Illinois was awarded a three (3) year contract for the 2024-2026 Neighborhood Road Improvement Program by the Village Board on March 4, 2024 (see 2024-0125).
On July 1, 2024, the Board approved Change Order #1 and Contract Amendment A to add $300,000 to the FY2024 NRIP (see 2024-0483).
On September 2, 2025, the Board approved Change Order #2 and Contract Amendment B to add $235,000 to the FY2025 NRIP (see 2025-0670).
The Capital Budget for FY2026 is $7,036,000.00. Work completed to date and unused funds from that account have left approximately $1,162,857.00 available to perform additional work this year which will include ADA improvements and curb replacement to improve drainage. The additional areas include:
-Mill & overlay on Orlan Brook Drive (159th Street to Wheeler Drive)
-Mill & overlay on Brook Crossing Drive
-Mill & overlay on Coyle Court
-Mill & overlay on Deerhaven Lane south of Fawn Circle.
Lindahl Brothers will honor their current unit pricing from the 2026 Road Program for these additional areas. Because of the favorable pricing and at the direction of the Board, staff recommends the additional work set forth above be undertaken in FY2026. The total anticipated cost for this change order is not to exceed $964,485.73, which is less than 50% of the initial FY2026 contract amount of $5,291,328.05. The new not to exceed amount of the FY 2026 will be $6,255,813.78.
