Resolution Approving an Intergovernmental Agreement with the State Of Illinois and the Village of Orland Park Appropriating Funds for the 153rd Street and Ravinia Avenue Roundabout Project
History
The Village applied for and received Surface Transportation Program (STP) federal funding for the construction and construction engineering services of the 153rd Street and Ravinia Avenue Roundabout project.
The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) is funding the construction portion of the project, which is on the July 31, 2026 letting as State Job Number C-91-256-24. The construction portion of the project is being funded with $2,014,694.00 in federal funds, with the Village responsible for the $649,950 (required match). Any costs exceeding the federal participation will be the Village's responsibility. Upon completion of the project, IDOT will invoice the Village for the required local match and any project costs exceeding the federal participation.
The Village will fund the Phase III Construction Engineering services portion, and will progressively invoice IDOT for the 80% federal portion, which is a maximum of $257,994.00. Any costs exceeding the federal participation will be the Village's responsibility.
The project has total grant funding of $2,272,688.00 for construction and construction engineering servcies.
Financial Impact
There is sufficient funding in the FY2026 Budget for the project.
