A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF ILLINOIS AND THE VILLAGE OF ORLAND PARK APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE 153RD STREET AND RAVINIA AVENUE ROUNDABOUT PROJECT

WHEREAS, the Village of Orland Park desires to implement a project to convert the signalized intersection at 153rd Street and Ravinia Avenue into a single lane roundabout, a project known to the Illinois Department of Transportation under Section Number 21-00088-00-CH and State Job Number C-91-256-24; and
WHEREAS, the Construction cost of said improvement is estimated to total two million six hundred sixty-four thousand six hundred forty-four dollars ($2,664,644.00); and
WHEREAS, the Village of Orland Park received two million fourteen thousand six hundred ninety-four ($2,014,694.00) in Surface Transportation Program (STP) federal funding for the construction of the improvement, with the Village responsible for the remaining six hundred forty-nine thousand nine hundred fifty dollars ($649,950.00) and any costs exceeding the federal participation; and
WHEREAS, the Construction Engineering cost of said improvement is estimated to total three hundred twenty-two thousand four hundred ninety-two dollars ($322,492.00); and
WHEREAS, the Village of Orland Park received two hundred fifty-seven thousand nine hundred ninety-four dollars ($257,994.00) in Surface Transportation Program (STP) federal funding for the construction engineering of the improvement, with the Village responsible for the remaining sixty-four thousand four hundred ninety-eight dollars ($64,498.00) and any costs exceeding the federal participation; and
WHEREAS, the use of federal funds requires a joint funding agreement
(hereinafter “AGREEMENT”) with the Illinois Department of Transportation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Village of Orland Park hereby appropriates seven hundred fourteen thousand four hundred forty-eight dollars ($714,448.00) for the local balance of Constructi...
