3/4 Ton 4x4 Replacement Pickup Truck - Bid Award
History
The 2007/08 Fiscal Year Budget has a Board approved line item in the amount of $29,000 for the purchase of a replacement 3/4 ton 4x4 Pickup Truck equipped with a snowplow and liftgate for the Parks Department. This truck will replace a 1994 Ford F250 Pickup Truck with over 63,000 miles.
Legal notice ran in the Daily Southtown Newspaper on Friday, December 7, 2007. In addition, bid packets were sent to five vendors. In return, three bids were received for processing. Sealed bids were opened by the Village Clerk’s Office on Friday, December 21, 2007.
Bill Jacobs Joliet LLC of Joliet, Illinois, was the low bidder for a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD equipped with an 8’ Fischer Plow and a Tommy Gate Liftgate at $27,944 and met all specifications as written. Therefore, staff recommends awarding the bid for the replacement 2008 Chevrolet Silverado Truck to Bill Jacobs Joliet LLC of Joliet, Illinois.
On January 14, 2008, this item was reviewed and approved by the Public Works and Engineering Committee and referred to the Board for approval.

Financial Impact
