History
RFP# 26-033 - Lake Sedgewick Multi-Use Path, Phase I Preliminary Design Engineering was issued on April 22, 2026, to solicit proposals from qualified and experienced engineering firms to provide preliminary engineering services for a proposed multi-use path segment on the south side of Lake Sedgewick. This proposed path will complete the trail loop around the lake and improve overall connectivity of the Village’s multi-use path system.
The scope of work includes the development of alignment alternatives, alternatives evaluation, applications for future funding, completing Phase I Preliminary Design Engineering per Illinois Department of Transportation requirements, and other professional services as necessary.
On May 19, 2026, a total of three (3) engineering consultants submitted responses to the RFP. During the proposal review process, staff requested revised proposals based on scope clarifications. The selection committee’s evaluation was based on the final proposals received.
1. Fehr Graham & Associates, LLC - $199,000.00
2. GSG Consultants, Inc. - $199,240.00
3. V3 Companies, Ltd. - $254,965.03
The selection committee reviewed and ranked the RFP responses based on the following selection criteria defined in the RFP:
- Proposal Cost (30%)
- Firm’s experience and capacity to perform the work (20%)
- Staff qualifications and experience, especially key personnel, proposed to perform the work (20%)
- Project approach and understanding of scope and schedule (20%)
- Selection Team Discretion (10%)
Based on the established evaluation criteria, Fehr Graham & Associates, LLC was determined to be the most qualified and responsive firm to provide the best overall value for the project and the Village.
