ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING DISPOSAL OF PERSONAL PROPERTY (POLICE / MAG-LITE FLASHLIGHTS) OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF ORLAND PARK, ILLINOIS

Body
WHEREAS, the Village of Orland Park is the owner of personal property (Police Mag-Lite Flashlights) described on Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference that has exhausted its usable life and are old/obsolete

WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Orland Park, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois, have decided that it is no longer necessary or useful for the Village of Orland Park to retain ownership of the personal property (Police Mag-Lite Flashlights) described on Exhibit A; and

WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities have, therefore, decided that continued ownership of the Police Mag-Lite Flashlights described on Exhibit A are not in the best interests of the Village of Orland Park;
and

WHEREAS, Orland Township Electronics Recycling , which is located in Orland Park, Illinois, recycles donated flashlights and other electronics items.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Park, Illinois, as follows:

SECTION 1

The above recitals are hereby incorporated into this Section as fully as if they were set forth herein in their entirety.

SECTION 2

Pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois Municipal Code, Illinois Compiled Statutes, 65 ILCS 5/11-76-4,
the President and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Park find that the items of personal property listed on Exhibit A (Police Mag-lite Flashlights) now owned by the Village of Orland Park, Illinois, are no longer necessary or useful to the said Village and its best interests will be served by the disposal of such items by the Village Manager.

SECTION 3

Pursuant to Section 11-76-4, the Village Manager is hereby authorized to and may direct the disposal of the personal property to which Section 2 of this Ordinance refers by recycling said personal property to Orla...
