Special Event Permit: Lion's Club Christmas Tree & Wreath Sales
History
The Orland Park Lions Club (OPLC) seeks approval to host its annual Christmas tree and wreath sales fundraiser in the southeast corner of the Village Hall parking lot November 27 through December 19, 2026, or until all items are sold.
Set-up will take place November 13, 2026. Sales will begin on November 27, 2026 running 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., Saturdays 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Sundays 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Sales will end early November 29, 2026, for the Villages Christmas Parade.
Three trailers will be on site, two for sales and storage and one for storage in the far south Civic Center parking lot near the wooded area.
The Village will provide picnic tables, trash cans and an electrical supply for the Lions club trailer and tree lot lights.
Consistent with other Orland Park based non-profit organizations hosting events in Villages parks, staff propose waiving all fees as estimated below.
Fees Include
Deposit: $300
All Other Village Properties: $6,900 ($300/day)
Temporary Sign Fee: $40 ($40/ sign)
Inspection Fees: $100-$300
All event logistics will adhere to Village guidelines and requirements, be reviewed and approved by the Village in advance of a permit being issued for the tree and wreath sales.

I move to approve permitting the Orland Park Lions Club to host its annual Christmas tree and wreath sales fundraiser in the southeast corner of the Village's Village Hall parking lot November 27, 2026, through December 19, 2026;
AND
Approve waiving all fees associated with tree and wreath sales contingent upon meeting all Villages permitting requirements.
