History
Chamberlain University School of Nursing Tinley Park has submitted a Special Event permit request to host a Wellness 5K Run/1-mile walk on Saturday, August 29, at the 153rd Street Metra Lot, utilizing Centennial Park’s paths for the walk. Set up will begin at 7 a.m. Clean-up will take place at the event conclusion and be completed by 1 p.m.
Organizers are working on specific event components. All event logistics will adhere to Village guidelines, be reviewed and approved by the Village in advance of the event including participant parking, event security, police and/or Community Service Officer requirements, sound amplification limits, Village permits and fees.
The event is open to the public and is expected to have 150 participants.
Financial Impact
Organizers will be subject to all permit, staffing and rental fees applicable to the production of this event.

I move to approve permitting the Chamberlain University School of Nursing Tinley Park to host a Wellness 5K Run/1-mile walk on the Centennial Park Walking Paths and 153rd Street Metra Lot on Saturday, August 29, 2026, 7 a.m. - 1 p.m. contingent upon meeting all the Village’s permitting requirements, payment of fees and inspections.
