Title
A Resolution Creating the “Neighbors Making a Difference” Award Program
History
The Village of Orland Park has long recognized the importance of community engagement and the positive impact that residents, employees, and business owners have on the quality of life within the Village. To further encourage and celebrate acts of kindness, volunteerism, and civic involvement, Mayor Dodge proposes the creation of the “Neighbors Making a Difference” award program.
The “Neighbors Making a Difference” Award Program establishes a formal process for recognizing those who make meaningful contributions to the Village community. Eligible nominees include residents, employees, and business owners within Orland Park who demonstrate acts of kindness, volunteer service, charitable contributions, leadership in community events, mentorship, and other positive actions.
Nominations may be submitted throughout the year. The Mayor will select recipients based on the significance and impact of their contributions, with awards presented at Village Board meetings and publicized through various channels.
