Taste of Orland Park - Booth Rental Fee Increase Approval

 

History

Taste of Orland Park is the village’s annual summer festival held the first weekend of August. Tent rental is available for sponsors and community groups. The cost for Community Groups to rent a tent has been $125.00 since the first Taste in 2004.

 

On December 14, 2009, this item was reviewed and approved by the Community Events & Outreach Committee and referred to the Board for approval.

 

 

Financial Impact

The cost to the village to rent the tent is $93.00 plus $25 for the light, a total of $118.00. Since the $125 fee barely covers the cost of the rental, it is suggested that the fee for community groups be raised to $135.00 to help offset the costs. 

 

Recommended Action/Motion

I move to approve raising the rental price of Community Booths at the Taste of Orland Park from $125.00 to $135.00 per tent.
