Title

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING A COMMITMENT BY THE VILLAGE OF ORLAND PARK FOR THE 2026 "INVEST IN COOK" PROGRAM (OLD OAK HILL MULTI-USE PATH)

Body

WHEREAS, the Village President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Park (the "Village") desire to implement a project to construct a multi-use path at Old Oak Hill, east of Wolf Road and north of 143rd Street; and

 

WHEREAS, the Invest in Cook ("IIC") Program, a grant program managed by the Cook County Department of Transportation and Highways ("CCDOTH"), provides funds to local agencies to advance transportation improvements throughout the region; and

 

WHEREAS,  the Village desires to apply for Phase I Preliminary Engineering funds through the IIC Program; and

 

WHEREAS,  the Village will be required to match awarded IIC funds on a one-to-one basis; and

 

WHEREAS,  the Village is committed to provide a total local match of up to $200,000 for Phase I Preliminary engineering.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Park, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois, as follows:

 

SECTION 1

 

The above recitals are incorporated by reference into this Section 1 and made a part hereof as though fully set forth herein.

 

SECTION 2

 

The Village President and Board of Trustees of the Village approve this Resolution Authorizing and Approving a Commitment by the Village to provide matching funds for Phase I Preliminary Engineering up to a total local match of $200,000, for any Invest in Cook grant funds awarded.

 

SECTION 3 

 

This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its adoption as provided by law.
