Asphalt Pavement Patching 2026 - Change Order #1 and Contract Amendment A
History
On April 6, 2026, the Board awarded ITB #26-018 for the 2026 Asphalt Pavement Patching project to Advantage Paving Solutions Inc. of Joliet, IL. The project comprises the required maintenance upkeep for asphalt roadway patching at various spot-locations throughout the Village, with an original contract amount not to exceed $395,250.01.
Original quantities provided to the contractor were estimates for asphalt patching based on collected field locations throughout the Village. During ongoing street operations, field inspections identified additional necessary roadway distress and base repair requirements that need to be completed to ensure critical roadway safety ahead of seasonal operations. The additional work will result in an increase of $50,000.00 above the original contract amount.
In order to compensate the contractor for the additional quantities, Contract Change Order #1 is requested in the amount of $50,000.00, resulting in a revised contract total not to exceed $445,250.01.
Financial Impact
Funds for the 2026 Asphalt Pavement Patching project are allocated in account 1008020-571250.
Recommended Action/Motion
I move to approve the Change Order and Addendum A with Advantage Paving Solutions Inc. in the amount of $50,000.00, for a new not to exceed contract amount of $445,250.01, and as fully presented.

I move to approve and authorize the execution of Change Order #1 and Contract Addendum A to the original contract 20260211 dated April 6, 2026, with Advantage Paving Solutions Inc. of Joliet, Illinois, for Asphalt Pavement Patching 2026 to increase the total not to exceed contract amount by $50,000.00 from $395,250.6 for a total not to exceed contract amount of $445,250.01;
