RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE PACE BUS MUNICIPAL VEHICLE PROGRAM AGREEMENT AND THE ADOPTION OF A SAFETY SECURITY AND EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS PLAN (SSEPP) AS THEY PERTAIN TO EMPLOYEES INVOLVED IN THE PROGRAM

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Village of Orland Park (hereinafter referred to as “VILLAGE”) is interested in contracting with Pace Suburban Bus (hereinafter referred to as “Pace”) for the purpose of locally based service vehicles within the Municipal Vehicle Program; and

 

WHEREAS, Pace offers the Municipal Vehicle Program to units of government throughout the area which provides for the lease of vehicles in order to accomplish the goals of the program and respective needs of the participating communities; and

 

WHEREAS, the parties hereto are desirous of entering into an agreement for a cooperative Municipal Vehicle Program; and

 

WHEREAS, VILLAGE feels that it is in the best interest to enter into agreement for Pace’s Municipal Vehicle Program; and

 

WHEREAS, there is a certain compliance requirement within the Municipal Vehicle Program with which the VILLAGE does not comply; and

 

WHEREAS, Pace has a Safety Security and Emergency Preparedness Plan which complies with FTA standards.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, The Village of Orland Park hereby approves the Locally Based Service Agreement in the form attached hereto and made a part hereof.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that in order to adequately address the requirement of the terms of the Agreement, the Village of Orland Park hereby adopts a Safety Security and Emergency Preparedness Plan (SSEPP), substantially in the form used by Pace, for those employees involved in the Municipal Vehicle Program.
