AMENDED RESOLUTION PERMITTING THE SALE, DELIVERY AND POSSESSION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES DURING SPECIAL EVENTS CONDUCTED ON THE PREMISES OF THE ORLAND PARK HISTORY MUSEUM
Body
WHEREAS, Title 3, Chapter 1, Section 3-1-3(10) provides that no person shall

“Bring within, have possession or control of, sell or give away, or drink any alcoholic beverages as defined in the Illinois Liquor Control Act of 1934 at any time in any said park except as permitted by the Village President and Board of Trustees”; and

WHEREAS, Title 3, Chapter 1, Section 3-1-2 defines a “Park” as “A park, playground, recreation center or any other area in the Village of Orland Park, owned or used by the Village, and devoted to active or passive recreation” which definition would include the Orland Park History Museum; and

WHEREAS, there are special events planned by the Village on the premises of the Orland Park History Museum located at 14415 S. Beacon Avenue during which times and at said locations the Village President and Board of Trustees desire approved vendors to sell and deliver alcoholic beverages with restrictions as hereinafter provided; and

WHEREAS, the Village President and Board of Trustees desire to amend Resolution No. 1710 adopted May 1, 2017.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Park, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois, as follows:

SECTION 1

Subject to the restrictions hereinafter set forth in SECTION 2, Resolution No. 1710 adopted May 1, 2017, is hereby amended to provide that alcoholic beverages may be sold and delivered, and attendees may possess and consume the alcoholic beverages sold and delivered, on the premises of the Orland Park History Museum, during the specified special events and times as approved by the Village President as the Village’s Liquor Control Commissioner:
