RFP 24-025 for Pavement Marking 2024-2026 was hosted on BidNet from January 29, 2024, to February 27, 2024. The bid requested unit pricing to be submitted for a three (3) year period from 2024 to 2026. Eighteen (18) organizations downloaded the bid documents. Three (3) bids were formally submitted to the Village Clerk’s Office and opened on February 27, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.
The Village received unit price bids from Marking Specialists Corporation of Cary, IL, RoadSafe Traffic System, Inc. of Romeoville, IL, and Precision Pavement Markings, Inc. of Pingree Grove, Illinois. The unit pricing bids by all three (3) contractors are shown in the attached Bid Tab. This contract will strictly use epoxy pavement material due to its durability.
Precision Pavement Markings, Inc. of Pingree Grove, Illinois is identified as the lowest responsible bidder for the Pavement Marking 2024-2026 project. They perform this type of work for municipalities and governmental agencies throughout the area. Therefore, it is staff's recommendation that Precision Pavement Markings, Inc. of Pingree, Illinois be awarded the project for the Pavement Marking 2024-2026.

Funding for the Pavement Marking 2024-2026 project is available in the FY 2024 Capital Improvement account 3008020-571250.
Recommended Action/Motion
I move to approve awarding RFP 24-025 Pavement Marking 2024-2026 to Precision Pavement Markings, Inc. of Pingree Grove, Illinois in the amount not to exceed $75,000.00 for fiscal year 2024; and an amount not to exceed the Board approved funding for fiscal years 2025 and 2026;
AND
Authorize the Village Manager to execute all related contracts, subject to Village Attorney review.
