Centennial Park West Venue Burglar Alarm, Gate Access Controls, and Gate Controller - Waived Bid Proposal
History
In order to maintain burglar alarm and access control consistency, during the design of Centennial Park West Venue, it was pre-determined to coordinate low-voltage security items separately. This burglar alarm will ensure the new facility and assets in a remote area are secure as well as gate access limitations to the back area of the Centennial Park West Venue site.
Burglar alarms have been installed throughout the Village Facilities as well as access controls to particular areas within buildings and on the exterior. The Village Board has approved in the past waiving bids and contracting directly with Sound Incorporated to keep the system consistent and to maintain the manufacturer warranty.
Sound Incorporated has consistently performed high quality work installing all our access controls. They have completed numerous upgrades to locations throughout Village Hall and also to other facility locations to improve security and accountability with trackable access data. The pricing provided on the quote from Sound Incorporated is consistent with the pricing provided for the other work done recently in the Village facilities.

Financial Impact
The FY2024 Capital Budget 300000-570700 includes funding for this project.
Recommended Action/Motion
I move to approve waiving the bidding process;
AND
Approve the proposal from Sound Incorporated for Centennial Park West Venue burglar alarm, access control and gate controller for an amount not to exceed $55,956.00;
AND
Authorize the Village Manager to execute all related contracts, subject to Village Attorney review.
